The Problem:
Complaints were flooding into the service center about the MRCGO Mobile Website being difficult to use.
Interviews began to expose a number of pain points and blockers users were experiencing.
The mobile version was not responsive and took an excessive amount of time to load.
The mobile version was difficult for users to navigate on mobile devices and tablets.
The mobile connection would drop off in remote locations while waiting on data to be downloaded
The mobile version was directly responsible for the loss of sales from customers attempting to order products in remote locations
 
 
Insights from Users
Pipe is the most difficult product to purchase on mobile, there are too many steps and too many options
The Wireframes were tested in User Surveys and 1:1 Interviews with 25 MRCGO Customers.
Labels needed to be added to the menu icons
A Filter screen to limit the number of clicks needed to accomplish the task.
The ability to search for a specific item by the product number
Minimize the clicks needed to complete a purchase, if possible
 
 
 
Additional updates and enhancements were implemented after each user testing

The Results
Simplified the process for purchasing pipe online. the user can now purchase their item with just 7 clicks, originally it took 17 clicks
All 20 users were able to accomplish all tasks
The new e-commerce process flow is to be implemented into all of the product categories on the website
